What is ATHAR?ما هو أثر؟
A symbolic adoption that links a name to a real tree in Abu Dhabi, for yourself or as a gift. The tree carries an ATHAR tag, and it comes with its own card and box. In the ATHAR app, the card opens the tree’s living page: its story, its place, its care.
تبنٍّ رمزي يربط اسماً بشجرة حقيقية في أبوظبي، لنفسك أو هديةً لمن تحب. تحمل الشجرة وسم أثر، وتأتي معها بطاقتها وعلبتها. وفي تطبيق أثر تفتح البطاقة صفحة الشجرة الحيّة: حكايتها ومكانها والعناية بها.
Can I adopt a tree for myself?هل يمكنني أن أتبنّى شجرة لنفسي؟
Yes. Choose “For me” when you activate the card: the certificate carries your name, and the tree’s page is yours to follow for 5 or 10 years.
نعم. اختر «لي» عند تفعيل البطاقة: تحمل الشهادة اسمك، وتبقى صفحة الشجرة لك تتابعها طوال 5 أو 10 سنوات.
Can I get the card or the box on its own?هل يمكنني الحصول على البطاقة أو العلبة وحدها؟
No. The card and the box come with the tree, whether you adopt it for yourself or give it as a gift. Both are made for that one tree and carry its ID.
لا. تأتي البطاقة والعلبة مع الشجرة، سواء تبنّيتها لنفسك أو أهديتها. كلتاهما مصنوعة لتلك الشجرة وحدها وتحمل رقمها.
Does the tree become mine?هل تصبح الشجرة ملكاً لي؟
No. Adoption is symbolic and documented, and trees and land remain government property. What you receive is a certificate in your name, or in the name of the person you give it to, linked to a real tree in a real place, and its living page for the whole term.
لا. التبنّي رمزي وموثّق، والأشجار والأرض تبقى ملكاً للحكومة. ما تحصل عليه شهادة باسمك، أو باسم من تُهديه، مرتبطة بشجرة حقيقية في مكان حقيقي، وصفحتها الحيّة طوال مدة التبنّي.
How long does it last?كم تدوم مدة التبنّي؟
5 or 10 years, from the day the card is activated. The term is printed on the certificate, and it can be renewed before it ends.

What if the tree is lost?ماذا لو فُقدت الشجرة؟
If a tree is lost to a storm, disease or roadworks, another tree is linked in its place for the rest of the term. Its page records what happened, so the story carries on.
إذا فُقدت الشجرة بسبب عاصفة أو مرض أو أعمال طرق، تُربط شجرة أخرى مكانها حتى نهاية المدة. وتسجّل صفحتها ما حدث، فتستمر الحكاية.
How do I activate the card?كيف أفعّل البطاقة؟
In the ATHAR app. Open the app and hold the card to your phone. Choose who the tree is for, you or someone else, add the name (and for a gift, the occasion and a short message), check them, and confirm. It takes about a minute.
من تطبيق أثر. افتح التطبيق وقرّب البطاقة من هاتفك، ثم اختر لمن هذه الشجرة، لك أو لشخص آخر، ثم أضف الاسم (وللهدية: المناسبة ورسالة قصيرة)، راجعها، ثم أكّد. يستغرق ذلك دقيقة تقريباً.
Do I need an app?هل أحتاج إلى تطبيق؟
No. The tree’s page opens in your phone’s browser. If you would like all your trees in one place, the ATHAR app for Android is there too.
لا. تُفتح صفحة الشجرة في متصفح هاتفك. وإن أردت أشجارك كلها في مكان واحد، فتطبيق أثر لأندرويد متاح أيضاً.
Which phones work?ما الهواتف التي تعمل معه؟
The ATHAR app, which activates the card, is on Android now (turn NFC on); iPhone is coming soon. To see your tree, any phone or computer opens its page on this website: enter its ID, or scan the QR code on its tag.
تطبيق أثر، الذي تُفعَّل منه البطاقة، متاح الآن على أندرويد (مع تشغيل NFC)، وآيفون قريباً. ولرؤية شجرتك يفتح أي هاتف أو حاسوب صفحتها في هذا الموقع: أدخل رقمها، أو امسح رمز QR على وسمها.
Can I change the name on the certificate?هل يمكن تغيير الاسم على الشهادة؟
Check the name on the review step before you confirm. If a mistake slips through, message us on WhatsApp at +971 50 580 0252 with the tree ID, and the certificate can be reissued.

Yes. Companies give ATHAR to employees, clients and guests, and at events, with cards and boxes that carry their name beside ours.
